Diario al Día | Santiago, República Dominicana — Una disputa de 50 pesos durante un juego de dados terminó en tragedia la noche del jueves en el sector La Yagüita de Pastor, donde un hombre dejó de existir tras recibir una lesión con un objeto cortopunzante.
La víctima fue identificada como Domingo Andrés Acevedo Peña, conocido como "El Rubito", cuya edad varía entre 44 y 46 años según las fuentes consultadas por este medio.
Testigos relataron que la disputa de 50 pesos se originó cuando Acevedo Peña se negó a aceptar una apuesta menor a la acordada durante la partida.
Un sobrino de la víctima narró el momento inicial del conflicto ante las cámaras: "Estaba en un juego de dados, el muchacho quería jugar 50 pesos, él le dijo que nada más que jugaba 100″.
El joven continuó su relato: "El tío mío salió de la jugada, ahí mismito vino él, ¡pa!, y le dio con una tabla al tío mío, después él corrió y se metió a la jugada del juego de dados y buscó un cuchillo, ahí mismito vino y le dio una estocada por aquí al tío mío".
Otra familiar, entrevistada frente al Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Forenses, coincidió con la secuencia de los hechos relacionados con la disputa de 50 pesos.
"El agresor lo que tenía era 50 pesos. El occiso transcurre y le dice que él no puede jugar con 50 pesos", relató la mujer visiblemente afectada por lo ocurrido.
Agregó que el presunto agresor "accede a darle un palo en la espalda al occiso, luego sale corriendo a coger un cuchillo y clavárselo" posteriormente.
Un allegado de mayor edad atribuyó la reacción violenta al consumo de sustancias ilícitas por parte del prófugo durante el altercado surgido en la mesa de dados.
"Porque él no quería jugar los 100 pesos y una gente endrogado, él estaba dique en el efecto de las sustancias y to' esa vaina, sabes porque fue como un vicioso", expresó.
La hermana de la víctima, consternada, lamentó públicamente lo sucedido y defendió la reputación de su familiar ante los medios presentes.
"Está mal, porque por un juego no se puede dar fin a una persona. Mi hermano era muy bueno, él no tenía vicio, todo el mundo lo quería en la comunidad y él se dedicaba a una traba de gallos", declaró.
Una oficial vocera de la Dirección Central de Investigación (DICRIM) confirmó la versión de la disputa de 50 pesos como origen del hecho ante la prensa.
"De acuerdo con el informe preliminar, el hecho ocurrió momentos en que ambos compartían una partida de dados, cuando se originó una supuesta discusión por una jugada relacionada con la suma de 50 pesos", indicó la funcionaria.
La vocera precisó que agentes de Homicidios y el Ministerio Público persiguen activamente a un individuo identificado como "Ezequiel y/o Sade" por el hecho.
El médico legista certificó que Acevedo Peña falleció a causa de una lesión de gran magnitud en la región costal izquierda, provocada con un objeto cortopunzante.
Los familiares pidieron a las autoridades realizar una investigación exhaustiva y capturar al responsable, quien permanecería oculto en la misma zona.
La Policía Nacional mantiene activa la búsqueda del sospechoso, quien huyó tras el altercado y es requerido por el Ministerio Público.
El caso reabre el debate sobre la falta de mecanismos pacíficos para resolver conflictos menores en comunidades vulnerables del país.
Una disputa equivalente a menos de un dólar estadounidense derivó en un desenlace irreversible que hoy enluta a toda una comunidad.
Las autoridades continúan recabando testimonios en la zona mientras el prófugo permanece sin ser localizado hasta el cierre de esta nota.
