Diario al Día | Santo Domingo Oeste, República Dominicana — El caso Manoguayabo mantiene en alerta a la comunidad de Batey Bienvenido, donde una niña de identidad reservada falleció el día de ayer sábado luego de presentar lesiones de gran magnitud.
La Policía Nacional informó la detención de su madre, Glenny Tellería, de 43 años, señalada por familiares y residentes de la zona como la presunta responsable del hecho, mientras avanzan las investigaciones junto al Ministerio Público.
El caso Manoguayabo comenzó a conocerse cuando los gritos de auxilio de familiares llamaron la atención de los vecinos del sector.
Félix Polanco acudió al lugar y, al observar la situación de la menor, decidió trasladarla en su vehículo particular hacia el Centro Médico Divina Misericordia, donde posteriormente fue reportada como persona sin signos vitales.
Agentes de la Dirección Central de Investigación (DICRIM) y unidades forenses acudieron al área para recopilar elementos de interés, testimonios y evidencias que permitan establecer las circunstancias del suceso.
Las autoridades mantienen bajo reserva detalles sobre el objeto utilizado y otros aspectos técnicos hasta completar los análisis correspondientes.
Dentro del caso Manoguayabo, el vocero de la Policía Nacional, Diego Pesqueira, confirmó la captura de la mujer señalada por testigos.
"Ha apresado a su madre, que está siendo señalada por testigos, por vecinos e incluso familiares como la presunta autora de este lamentable hecho. Eh, la detenida es Glenny Tellería, de 43 años de edad".
La comunidad de Batey Bienvenido reaccionó con sorpresa ante lo ocurrido. Vecinos describieron al entorno familiar como tranquilo y orientado al progreso.
Una residente expresó ante medios locales: "Aquí nunca ha habido violencia, aquí solamente amor, amor, amor, amor… y superación, uno llevando al otro a superarse. Aquí nunca ha habido violencia". Otra habitante manifestó: "En verdad no tengo nada que decirte, que yo todavía en verdad no sé lo que pasó".
La atención sobre el caso Manoguayabo también se concentra en las labores posteriores realizadas por las instituciones.
Una unidad del Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Forenses (INACIF) retiró a la menor del centro médico para los procedimientos correspondientes, mientras la detenida permanece bajo custodia policial a la espera de su presentación ante el Ministerio Público.
El seguimiento del caso Manoguayabo continúa con la participación de investigadores, especialistas forenses y fiscales, quienes buscan determinar con precisión la secuencia de acontecimientos y las circunstancias que rodearon el hecho.
Destacar que la mujer perteneció a las filas de la Policía Nacional pero fue dada de baja debido a una situación de salud, por lo cual estaba de licencia.
