Diario al Día | Venezuela – Los terremotos que sacudieron a Venezuela el miércoles han dejado un saldo preliminar devastador que continúa actualizándose mientras las autoridades intentan atender la emergencia y evaluar el alcance real de los daños en distintas zonas afectadas.
Los terremotos registrados en territorio venezolano han provocado, según un nuevo balance del ministro de Salud Carlos Alvarado, al menos 235 personas fallecidas y alrededor de 4,300 heridos, cifras que reflejan la magnitud del impacto en hospitales y centros de atención del país.

El ministro Carlos Alvarado explicó que muchos de los afectados por los terremotos llegaron a los centros de salud sin signos vitales o fallecieron al momento de recibir atención médica, una situación que ha puesto a prueba la capacidad del sistema sanitario en medio de la emergencia.
Mientras tanto, el impacto de los terremotos ha trascendido las fronteras, generando una respuesta internacional inmediata, en especial por parte de Estados Unidos, que anunció el envío de dos buques de guerra, además de aviones de transporte y helicópteros para brindar apoyo logístico.
El Comando Sur de Estados Unidos informó a través de una publicación en la red social X que las fuerzas desplegadas tras los terremotos tendrán como objetivo proporcionar servicios especializados de movilidad y apoyo al personal estadounidense que opera en coordinación con el gobierno venezolano.
Las autoridades han señalado que la prioridad en este escenario provocado por los terremotos es continuar con las labores de rescate, atención médica y evaluación estructural en las zonas más afectadas, donde se concentran los mayores daños materiales y humanos.
