Diario al Día| Santo Domingo, República Dominicana – Una nueva denuncia ha surgido contra Enmanuel Hernández Medrano, conocido como "El Barbero", quien es investigado por su presunta vinculación con complicaciones tras procedimientos estéticos.
Gloria Mejía, dominicana residente en Estados Unidos, relató en un video las dificultades que enfrentó luego de una abdominoplastia realizada en agosto de 2024 por Hernández. Según Mejía, la intervención se llevó a cabo en un centro médico en Los Mameyes, por la cual pagó 350 mil pesos.
La mujer explicó que al retirar las vendas, notó que no tenía ningún punto de sutura, situación que Hernández reconoció y la sometió a una segunda cirugía para cerrar la herida. Mejía aseguró que no realizó ningún esfuerzo que pudiera afectar la operación.
Posteriormente, Mejía presentó un deterioro en su salud debido a una infección bacteriana que afectó la cicatrización. Indicó que esta condición requirió atención médica especializada y que el proceso de recuperación duró aproximadamente seis meses.
Además, denunció que Hernández le devolvió solo una parte del pago inicial y luego dejó de responder sus comunicaciones. La Policía Nacional, el Ministerio Público y el Ministerio de Salud Pública mantienen una búsqueda activa de Hernández, quien es señalado por su presunta responsabilidad en el perdió la vida de Rebeca Brizard de Mateo y se presume que huyó hacia Colombia.
Las autoridades continúan investigando posibles víctimas adicionales y el caso ha generado preocupación en la sociedad dominicana. Familiares de Rebeca Brizard y otras personas afectadas exigen justicia y seguimiento en los procesos judiciales correspondientes.
La Policía y las instituciones de salud llaman a quienes hayan recibido procedimientos similares con Hernández a presentar sus denuncias para avanzar en la investigación y esclarecer los hechos.
