Diario al Día | Santo Domingo, República Dominicana — El caso Ernesto Fadul fue confirmado oficialmente como uno de los temas tratados durante una reunión celebrada en Washington entre autoridades de República Dominicana y Estados Unidos, en la que participaron el secretario de Salud estadounidense, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.; la vicepresidenta dominicana, Raquel Peña; el ministro de Salud Pública, Víctor Atallah, y la embajadora de Estados Unidos, Leah Campos.
La confirmación fue realizada por la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en República Dominicana mediante un comunicado, luego de que anteriormente la información circulara a través de una publicación en redes sociales.
Con el documento oficial, la representación diplomática estableció que el tema relacionado con el doctor Ernesto Fadul formó parte de los asuntos conversados durante el encuentro.
De acuerdo con el comunicado, la embajadora Leah Campos solicitó la reunión con el secretario Robert F. Kennedy Jr. para abordar el enfoque promovido por el doctor Ernesto Fadul sobre el tratamiento del autismo mediante suplementos naturales, además de los reportes anecdóticos sobre posibles resultados favorables asociados a esa propuesta.
El caso Ernesto Fadul fue incluido dentro de una conversación más amplia sobre temas sanitarios y cooperación internacional.
Durante el encuentro también se analizaron aspectos vinculados con la iniciativa Make America Healthy Again (MAHA), impulsada por Kennedy Jr., así como la posibilidad de extender parte de esa agenda hacia República Dominicana.

La comunicación diplomática también indica que durante la reunión se trataron otras iniciativas relacionadas con la colaboración en materia de salud entre ambas naciones.
